Protective effect on gastrointestinal mucosa and gut integrity: Glutamine may supply a source of nutrients to the cells of the intestines, protecting the gut mucosa from damage and promoting repair. Glutamine and vitamin A protect the integrity of the intestinal tract by increasing secretory IGA (sIGA) secretion and therefore inhibiting the adherence of gram negative bacteria, to help resist dysbiosis. In addition, glutamine and zinc enhance epithelial regeneration, supporting and protecting mucosal barrier integrity.

Gut pain and inflammation: Aloe vera has been used traditionally for its protective effects on the gastric mucosa. This is possibly due to its inhibition of the inflammatory mediators PGE2 and IL8. Boswellia has traditionally been used to relieve digestive spasms and pain as well as relieving inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. BosPure Boswellia is a proprietary extract of Boswellia.

Warnings

When taken in excess of 3000 micrograms retinol equivalents, vitamin A can cause birth defects. If you are pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 700 micrograms retinol equivalents for women and 900 micrograms retinol equivalents for men. Contains zinc which may be dangerous if taken in large amounts or for a long period.
